A very fine one owner Series 7 Ferrograph. The condition is very good with only slight marking . This unit has been taken apart the capstan and speed wheels have all been replaced with brand new units. The record head have been polished as well as the tape guides. The play back head has been replaced. The playback amplifiers and record boards have been up-graded with new components and re-calibrated The electronics on the power supply and audio output boards where needed have been replaced as per the photos.
The Series 7 can do full track, half and quarter track with operating tape speeds of 7.5, 3.75 and 1.75 inches per second.
The fast wind and rewind control is variable unlike the earlier models which were either on or off, and at 7.5 inches per second has a very good frequency response of 30Hz to 17 Khz with a good internal stereo amplifier offering 10 Watts RMS max fed into two elliptical 7 by 4 inch loudspeakers.
The lower panel opens at the base where the base/treble controls , bias , L/s output and meter switches with transfer and meter switches are held.
The top of the unit has most of the in and outs, ie line and loudspeaker out with the microphone inputs on the front panel where the main controls are placed.
Comes complete with tape used as test for you to listen to straight away. Mains lead and 6 month guarantee . No manual was supplied by the owner, but you can get these on line.
