Another B126 battery this one is from the 1950's , these were the most popular batterys of the day as they were used on a large selection of radio,s produced  from the late 1940's until the battery was discontinued in the late 1960's or even 1970 ?.

The other two on the other battery page is a 1949 and 1960's version

This battery was first produced in 1945 and was designed for the Ever Ready range of dry radio receivers, model A, C, C/A, C/E, K and the L26 Sky Scraper.

It is quite large at 200 mm width, 140mm in height and 77 mm in depth, like all my batterys obtaining the original type fittings is impossible so outlet for the HT and LT supplies are via chock block allowing direct fitting to the original plug,

This first produced around 1946 and was designed for the popular personal radios of the time which used the D cell, it is equivelent to the following:

The connections shown are the original fitting that were type S connectors, so as to identify the original look these are identical to the modern PP9, the batterty will be supplied either with chock block connectors or if requested small crock clips to connect to the original snap fittings. I will look into creating the original fittings as these are still current to ease fitting.

These large and heavy batteries were combined 90 Volt HT & 1.5 Volt LT. The reason why they were so sizeable was due to giving a minimum of 250 hours of use. I imagine the long usage took some of the sting of buying one. These were used in the Sky series of Ever Ready battery radios. The version I can offer looks the same but, due to cost in shipping weight and the amount of dry cells needed, is reduced to give an equivalent usage as per the standard versions available

The Vidor battery was used in the Mullard and Vidor radio's of this period and is the equivelent to the Ever Ready AD4

Equivalant batterys are Vidor L5043, GEC BB398 & 3r2S

This battery was first produced in the mid 1940's untill the 1950's. It had two uses the first being for the 4.5 volt heater requirements on some large portable radios of the 1940's and later as a pair of AD 28 for perdio radio's in particular the Caralux PR167

This is a large capacity radio battery 10.5 cm width, 8cm depth and 12.6 cm in height, and was often used on the large post war portables like Murphy B143 , the AD4 1.5 volt heater that compliments this battery is on the next item down.

This is the LT battery that compliments the B117 90 Volt HT battery

THe AD32 is equivalent to the Vidor L5049, Exhide H1178 and Drydex H1178 range of batterys, this was a high LT capacity battery hence the size of 5.3 inches in height and 2.6 inches square. Designed for the heavy portable radios of the 1940's period of course particular to the Ever Ready and Vidor range of receivers. It used the same 2 pin arrangement as on all the AD series that lasted until the 1970's

Quite a rare battery and was used  often for the jewel case radio's of the period that were both mains and battery operation. Due to being mains working as well, the heaters would have been in series therfore creating a high resistive load hence the 7.5 volt unlike the paralel 1.5 as driven via AD35 battery.

This is the popular 90 volt HT battery same as the Ever Ready B126, as with all my batteries this comes fitted with chock block connectors allowing connection to the original 3 pin plug. The Exide 1.5 Volt LT battery that would have been used for the heater chain is availble below.

This LT battery is the same as the Ever Ready AD35 and would be part of the set as used in the popular jewel case radio's of the 1950's and 60's . The battery is fitted with with chock block allowing to connect to the original 2 pin socket supplied by the radio, the larger pin and therefore chock block is the positive side. Comes complete with fitting instructions

This battery introduced in 1938/39 uses the same pin connectors as the AD35 and therefore was the original 1.5 Volt heater battery for the miniature valves that were just coming into use at this period. The battery must be in the order of twice the capacity of the AD35 series and i would guess were only in use for less than a decade as the jewel case radios using the later versions due to smaller heater currents were introduced by the late 40's.

There was still a large quantity of full cabinet size receivers as well in use around this period as AC/DC supplies were still not availible to every household.

This is the rare Vidor dual radio battery as per the Ever Ready B141 series, produced from the 1950's.

As with all the batteries offered the connections are via chock block, this does allow connection to the original radio plug.

This battery is a later version of the 1950's L5512 that is available on the other battery page, it is the same specification as the Ever Ready B126 including the size. This battery was used with the dual powered Jewel case radio's where the L5048 7.5 Volt LT battery was included.

The Vidor L5040 compliments the 90 Volt HT version above, ideal if you have one of the many Vidor range dual case radio's. This is dated 1969, though were first introduced around 1967 until 1970.

It has the same specfication as the Ever Ready AD35

This rather rare battery was first produced in the late 1940's, it is a higher capacity version of the popular Ever Ready AD35 model. The battery measures 5.3 inches, by 2.6 & 2.6 . Would compliment the early Vidor portable radio's.

This battery produced from 1960 was intended to give a long life, considering its just over 22.5 cm in lenght and 6 cm in height ,this was quite a battery and would have lasted some considerable time.  It was designed to be fitted on its side, and complemented the Roberts transistor radio's of this period one being the RT7.

The battery was used for high capacity typical 120 hours use in the Ever Ready suitcase range and was complimented with the AD14 see below 1.5 Volt LT.

The rare Ever Ready PP11 battery offered two 4.5 volt supplies for the early push-pull transistor radio's of the time.

As with all my batteries these come supplied with internal cells and chock block fittings to allow connection to the radio's original radio connector

These batterys were first produced around 1946 and were often used in pairs to create the 90 Volt HT supply on the portable valve radio's, I have seen this in the early Bush model's, there must have been a number in use as this battery was in service for a number of years, the 1940's version is on page one of batteries.

Quite a rare battery , these were used on the Ultra Twin Model R786 and is identical to GEC BB529 battery. Produced in the late 1940's.
