At Classic Radio Shop, your purchase will be guaranteed for 12 months for transistor and 6 Months for valve equipment from receipt; this includes parts and labour.
With anything as complex as electronic circuits there is always a possibility that a fault could develop due to transit or just age related. All radio's will be packed to ensure safe transit, but it depends on the couriers handling, I can at high end purchases offer additional insurance to cover the full cost of the product rather than a percentage within the posting and packaging cost, please advise if this is required.
1) At times for safety we may pack inside the radio to stop valves becoming loose etc, if this is done we will inform you in advance that this has happened.
2) If a radio needs to be-returned due to a fault, if this is found to be due to an oversite here, then full refund of the cost of packing will be sent to you.
3) If on receipt of the radio that you are not happy with your purchase, please advise me asap and at apart from the post and packing cost's and on return to the workshop, the cost of the radio will be re-funded to you.
Deposit
A 20% deposit is all that is required to hold a radio for you , this is non refundable and will be held for 6 weeks only. Often vintage and certain period radio's are in demand and when held i can loose a sale due to clients unable to complete their purchase, so please understand.
Insurance . Due to the way the law is implemented in this country regarding third party I have to let you be aware that if you wish on return that you would like your radio to be insured in case of damage in transit, I can advise you how you can do this .WHY :
For example if I arrange to have your repaired item returned and you would like me to arrange insurance to the value of it included in your courier return costs and upon receipt you find it is broken perhaps totally written off and despite all care having been taken ,then if for any reason either the courier company or agent decide either not to pay its full value or even pay at all then in law I would be liable and then you could sue me . The answer is one of two ways either you have to arrange cover perhaps via house hold insurance , arrange return postage directly yourselfs or agree if in the event of liability to the insurer that i was instructed by yourself to arrange return with insurance and that any event occured after safe delivery to the said courier is not my liability and therfore i'm free of any responsibility and liability for payment to make good.
Sorry to say but in todays mad world I have to protect myself .
