BUSH TR82B (1959/60) SOLD
The bush TR82B is a 2 band transistor portable radio when first manufactured proved to be immensely popular . The fact that it was portable made it particulary attractive to teenagers at the
time. The design was created by Ogle Design a company based in Hertfordshire and has subsequently become a classic, hence modern reproductions have been available for several years. But why buy
a new copy when you can have a restored original. The radio covers MW 187-570 m & LW 1070-1,900M.
The B finish is in chrome and blue. The radio original cost was £17 8s 11d plus purchase tax
As with any restored item, there are some signs of wear, but kept to a minimum.
Some of the models used the AF117 range of transistors which have proved to problems relating to crystal buil up from collector to screen, this model uses OC44/45/71 & 78 for the audio output
stage, hence reliability.
